20 Years of Dad Life — And Then Everything Changed
I've been a dad for 30 years. For the first 20, I was the best dad I knew how to be for my son. I coached, taught, corrected, and when needed, disciplined. I loved being a dad more than anything in the world.
Then, ten years ago, my world got completely rocked.
Having a daughter was like nothing I could have ever prepared for. I was a loving but firm dad to my son — but this little girl made me melt on the spot. Ballet, gymnastics, acting lessons, voice lessons, piano lessons... somewhere along the way, I completely forgot how to say no.
I started Fin's Dad as a #girldad brand for two reasons: I'm trying to get a head start on the very real expenses of girl college, and I genuinely love this community of dads who get it.
