Built for the Proudest Title in the World: Girl Dad
I had already been a dad for almost two decades. My son was a major source of joy and pride, and I never want to downplay that relationship—but holding my daughter for the first time was a whole other thing. I immediately felt protective, like I wanted to change the world for the better for her.
I'll admit it, I am extremely proud of being a girl dad, and I try to be the absolute best one I can be. But I really wasn't blown away by the girl dad shirts I found from Google searches. I wanted shirts that would cause people to stop me and give me the chance to tell them that yes, as a 50-something dude, I am a proud girl dad of a pre-teen daughter.
The bland designs I found online just weren't doing it. I finally decided I would just do it myself and they needed to be a high quality piece of clothing that could hold up to whatever my daughter decides to throw at me.
